0.3.2 available again

This is embarrasing.

0.4.0 apparently wasn't nearly as stable and tested as I thought - I did a full playthrough last night and found at least a dozen bugs, many of them relatively serious. As a stopgap measure until I get it fixed up to an acceptable level again, I've added a link above to the previous version, 0.3.2.

It's been quite some time in coming, but version 0.4.0 is here! It's a 100% re-write of the base game code - the new version should run about 10% faster and make creating new content easier both on my and on other contributors. The new version is playable and downloadable, as always, from the same links on the right.

:sigh: Looks like spambots are smart enough to get through the captchas. Sorry to anyone who's been getting email notifications about spam posts - I've killed them as fast as I'm able. Let's see how they like this latest layer of protection... (which should be invisible to live visitors).

In more interesting news, I've been working on version 0.4, which involves a re-write of a great deal of the core code that makes the game run. It will still look much the same and have similar content (with the usual set of expansions and improvements, of course), but should run faster and be easier to create custom content for.

Version 0.3.2 released

The changes in this release are rather larger than 0.3.1 was, but still not extensive enough to call 0.4 (I'll save that for reworking of some core functionality or addition of a new subsystem).

  • A massive amount of new content for Sakuya. Have her Clean at least 10 times to trigger the start of her mission tree (no need to start a new game).
  • New action selection interface (click on the girl's actions to bring it up, or on her picture/stats to bring up the old screen).
  • Errors now logged to the screen (in the upper-right) - hopefully this will ease reporting.
  • Keyboard shortcuts! Tabs can be navigated using left/right arrows. Dialogs can be closed with the Escape key. From the main screen, you can pass the turn with Enter.
  • Two new actions - Advertise and Trust Building. Advertise is primitive and simple, but Trust Building contains multiple variants.
  • Rebalanced Reputation system for buildings.
  • A large number of improvements in the versatility and power of actions/events/missions (separate post to follow documenting some of them).

So, I've been working on a better interface for selecting girl's actions. I've never been happy with the current one, and it finally got on my nerves enough to try something different.

Version 0.3.1 released

This release is incremental, not nearly as radical in its changes as 0.2 -> 0.3.
 

  • Tentacle attacks are working 100% again (there were multiple bugs involving them).
  • There is an additional variant on the Expose action.
  • It contains two new girls, Jill and Yuna, thanks to ggyppt.
  • Yuna has a custom action.
  • There are two new events locked behind the new Rape fetish tag, involving a group of thugs in one case and the city guard in another.
  • Content authors can now create girl-specific missions and events, as well as actions.
